which awards the Grammy music awards, has announced that "only human creators are eligible" to receive its awards in an effort to curb the use of artificial intelligence in this artistic sector. The Academy has banned works that were entirely composed by artificial intelligence, but some music that was composed with its assistance may qualify in some categories. It said that "an work that does not contain any human composition is not eligible for any category." Music composers must now contribute at least 20 percent of the album to be eligible for nomination. Previously, any producer, songwriter, sound engineer, or artist on a music album could receive a nomination, even if their contribution was limited. The use of artificial intelligence has rapidly spread since November when OpenAI launched its GPT technology, which can create dialogues that simulate human conversations based on simple inputs.
